Most of you dudes probably know already, but this Spring our founding member Lee (bass guitar) sadly left the group for new adventures. The band however goes on and are as busy as ever, so we're glad to welcome Mick Healey ("H") on bass and vocal duties. "H" has an impressive CV including bass duties for "Badfinger" among others - best of all, he's a great bloke and we're lucky to have him along for the rollercoaster that is Sixties Retro!

We're delighted to announce a gig at Llangollen Railway on 22nd July 2017. Kevin Gooding, the General Manager there saw us on our 60's mini cruise recently and has booked the band as part of a Groovy-Sixties-In-Wales-On-Rails weekend. You can see more about it and get advance tickets here.

It says "Relive the sights and sounds of the 60’s. Visitors are encouraged to dress up!

Intensive timetable of Steam, Diesel and Heritage Railcar (DMU) including a locomotive in 1960’s- style weathered condition.

Llangollen station hosts a real ale festival and bar, live music including a Saturday evening concert and 1960s style market stalls."

Can't wait - steam trains, real ale and Sixties Retro!

60s Mini CruisePast Gigs

The band were support to two great tribute bands on the P & O ship "Pride of Rotterdam" in November on a weekend 60s Mini Cruise from Hull to Rotterdam. Our first cruise - We had a cracking time and made lots of new friends.

On Friday night we played to a party crowd who just loved to dance. The main band that night were the very cool "Rolling Clones" who have been successfully rock & rolling for the last 10 years. Mick and Keef were on top form, I don't think Mick broke sweat as he strutted from one side of the stage to the other. A very entertaining band, great lads.

On Saturday we were treated to a day in a very cold Amsterdam with our new friends, "The Kinx" who we supported that night. Now these guys can seriously rock & roll, on AND off the stage. What a great bunch of guys, we hope to work with them all again in the future.
